10 Simple Ways To Be A Happy Person

Happy Person – Although we have convinced ourselves that this is difficult, it is actually much simpler than we think

Happy Person – We all want to be happy. Although we have convinced ourselves that this is difficult, it is actually much simpler than we think.

    Of course, everyone has different ways and methods to be happy. Here is what to do to become a happier person;

    1. Spend Time with People Who Make You Smile

We all have people around us who we define as “toxic”; some from family, some from work, and some from our circle of friends. We have all read or heard somewhere before that positivity is contagious. It is important to remember that negativity is as contagious as positivity.

You need to keep your distance from people who bring you down, who are pessimistic, negative and constantly criticize you. You may not be able to get them all out of your life at once — which is our suggestion — but you can at least try to distance yourself from them.

Surrounding yourself with happy and positive people will make you feel better. Surrounding yourself with people who make you laugh can be your first method.

    2. Respect Your Values

Yes, beliefs can be confusing, but they can be a great support to hold on to life. Your ideas, your lifestyle, and your beliefs are completely personal to you. And protecting these private spaces can help you feel happier.

These values will increase your self-worth and the value you give to others. Search; choose what is right for you or what makes sense to you. For some, it is prayer, for others it is meditation. The choice is entirely yours.

    3. Accept the Good

Negativity and pessimism have taken over every aspect of our lives. We don’t even see the beautiful things, let alone appreciate them. However, there are many beautiful things in our lives. Instead of labelling them as “worthless” and pushing them away, you can try to place them at important points in your life.

Once you realize the small beauties, you will see that happiness is not that difficult. When good things happen, even if they are very small, let them in and embrace them.

    4. Let Your Dreams Go Beyond You

Yes, you may not suddenly become a musician, artist or performer. But that shouldn’t stop you from dreaming. Go inside yourself, let go of your fears and imagine what you really want, where you really want to be — without any obstacles.

Many people avoid this because they don’t want to be disappointed. But imagining is the starting point. It is your first step.

    5. Try to do what you love

You may not be able to dive every day, but it shouldn’t be that hard to do it every two weeks. You need to make the effort and take the time to do the things you love.

Sitting at a desk and working all day makes us feel bad, both mentally and physically. How can you be happy when you feel so bad? You need to make time for yourself. Try everything you want to try and you will see how much better you feel.

    6. Find a Purpose

Everyone wants to feel accepted and part of this world. Many studies show that people who are helpful are happier. This is because seeing that goodness has touched another living being besides themselves makes them feel like they are part of the whole.

    7. Listen to your heart

We like to exchange ideas. There is no problem with that. The problem starts there: we take those ideas and incorporate them into our lives. But who knows better than you what will make you happy or unhappy?

Not your friends, not your family, not people whose opinions you respect, just you. Yes, happiness can be complicated. But only you can unravel that complexity.

    8. Take Responsibility for Yourself

It is easiest to blame life and blame others — and we often choose to do so. But these accusations will not take you one step forward or backwards from where you are. Yes, many things have happened at times against your will, and perhaps they are still happening.

The only thing you need to do now is to take everything into your own hands. Everyone is responsible for themselves and only themselves. You can be sure that the moment you take responsibility, you will feel stronger.

    9. Be Open to Change

We have heard, seen and read a lot about change. Let us remind you once again of the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus’ words “The only thing that does not change is change”.

The change will be in every aspect of your life. Therefore, you need to prepare yourself for all situations, good and bad.

    10. Focus on Simple Things

Watching the stars or the clouds for hours, laughing at a silly joke made by a friend, listening to music that you enjoy immensely… these should be your little joys.

    Conclusion

Be clear about what you value and what your goals are. If you are honest and open with yourself about what you want out of life, it will be easier to achieve what you want.

    According to renowned author Steve Chandler;

“Most people are surprised to learn that the reason they get so little of what they want out of life is simply that their basic goals are too small and too vague. Goals that are too small and too vague have no power. If it doesn’t provoke your imagination, if it doesn’t stimulate your imagination, it’s impossible to achieve your basic goal. The way to really increase motivation is to set a big, specific and powerful goal.”

Long or Quality Life – Which One is Your Prefer?

Long or Quality Life – The Bloody Period Started With These Losses

You realize what needs to be experienced when you experience it.

Of course, you may encounter some problems related to yourself and your environment in childhood and middle age.

You can only observe that you have entered a difficult process with what you see, perceive and experience in the third act of the theatre.

Childhood Life Is Like A Fairytale Land

The little joys of childhood, the feeling of being happy with very little things, the presence of your loved ones around you, and the most beautiful child’s health make the world look much more beautiful to you.

If you grow up in a sensitive environment, your relationships with events and the world are colourful.

Your life is like a fairy tale land with a different beauty in every part of it.

The Third Act Opens with Losses

Adolescence is the period of meeting with the responsibilities of life and its sorrows gradually.

There are loves, sometimes ending in despair, that make your neck bow down.

You may perceive your environment and your family differently.

Because your child’s eyes have started to change, the child’s faces around you have disappeared.

    Longevity But Healthy

I experienced these in the death of my grandmother and grandfather.

The bloody period for me started with these losses.

Both my grandmother and grandfather had become dependent on someone in the last stages of their illness.

Their quality of life was declining.

They were getting support from others even to walk from place to place.

I was observing how heavy this way of life was for them.

I could see in their eyes that they thought death was better.

Their mental health was just right.

But the bodies were tired, battered by disease.

The life that both of them could continue in need of others was a process they could not accept.

    Mental Health Is Most Important

In that respect, wishing for a long life becomes meaningful when health comes with it.

We know how big storms break out when we see thousands of dramas of patients and often feel their pain, breathing difficulties, and what they experience when they cannot even drink a glass of water.

It should be well known that every person needs love.

But the sick ones are much more.

    Long-life that includes quality life.

  • Effective Communication Skills for Everybody Needs to Know

Effective Communication Skills for Everybody Needs to Know

Effective Communication – Forget Your Knowledge About Communication

    Effective Communication – Here, I’m going to share steps and intellectual preparations that can be followed individually for effective communication in your business and private environment;

Before going to To-Do List, We should know the meaning of Effective Communication.

It covers the skills of influencing and persuading, storytelling, problem-solving and decision making, negotiation, conflict management, networking, communication, coaching and giving feedback.

    Steps and intellectual preparations that can be followed individually;

    • Ask yourself these questions;

✓ Considering my successful and unsuccessful negotiations, what did I do differently?

✓ Am I biased in negotiations? Can I look at it from both perspectives? Am I just taking a step back?

Keep regular notes with a “keep doing/do more” analysis of opportunities to influence, your problems, your initiatives, your results.

After listening to the other person, get in the habit of briefly summarizing what was said to confirm whether you understood correctly.

Make an appointment with someone you have difficulty communicating with, arrange a meeting, talk about the sources of your problems and how you can resolve them.

    • Fulfil your promises on time. In cases where you realize that you cannot meet the time commitments, call the people you promised to explain the reasons and set a new date together.
    • Organize periodic meetings with your collaborators to ensure a regular flow of information.
    • Offer more than one alternative while convincing the other person.
    • When persuading a group, consider the dynamics of the group and the differences of group members.
    • Demonstrate concretely the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
    • Prepare tables comparing alternatives.
    • Develop alternative approaches by coming together with relevant people in other units so that customer needs can be met in the long term.
    • Get detailed information about the person and institution to be negotiated before the negotiation.
    • Review the concessions you can make before negotiating to ensure that both parties win in the negotiation process.
    • Research and apply different techniques used in problem-solving and decision making.
    • Develop solution alternatives by brainstorming by forming a team for one of the important problems you encounter. Apply the best solution by performing a benefit-harm analysis for each alternative.
    • Observe a colleague or manager you find success in problem-solving and decision making. Suggest to your manager to work with him on a temporary basis if necessary.
    • In order to identify the obstacles you may encounter in your studies, review your past studies and the problems you have experienced during these studies, and gather information about possible problems you may encounter in the work you will carry out by meeting with the relevant people.

Develop and quickly implement prevention plans to prevent these problems from occurring.

    • Before making a decision, get together with people who will be affected or contribute to the decisions and shape your decisions in line with the opinions you receive from them.
    • Give timely feedback on problems you have difficulty solving.
    • Ask for feedback on a decision you made or the method you used to solve a problem.
    • Talk to your manager and teammates about a problem that you can’t make the right decision, timing or solving correctly, and agree on what should be done.
    • In the distribution of responsibility and work within the team, remember the criteria of situational leadership and take into account the experience and competence levels of your employees.
    • Assign your employee to a subject that you will determine. Let him take the initiative and make decisions in possible situations.
    • Following the issue under the responsibility of the employee, after any mistake, ask questions about the criteria that caused the error and make further notifications so that the error is not repeated.
    • Ask coaching questions and give feedback on situations/events to support development with a coaching-style managerial mindset.
    • Take time for yourself to work on coaching questions.
  • Why Some People Are Happier Than Other People

Why Some People Are Happier Than Other People

Happiness Does Not Equal Pleasure – People Are Happier

People Are Happier – Like intelligence, weight, and wealth, the level of happiness also varies from person to person.

Yes, some people are happier, some are unhappy. There could be many reasons for this.

Mostly when we ask happy people why they are happy, they cannot give an obvious answer.

They say, “I don’t know, I just am”.

We can describe such people as “happy for no reason”.

But thousands of studies on large groups enlighten us why some people are happier than others.

But first, it would be appropriate to define the concept of happiness. In Wilhelm Schmid’s words, “happiness is not a state of uninterrupted pleasantness, constant joy, good fun and lots of fun”.

So happiness does not equal pleasure.

Happiness is a character state and refers to being satisfied with life, experiencing positive emotions more often, and experiencing negative emotions less often.

Happiness, as Tal-Ben Sahahar defines it, is “living life meaningfully by enjoying it.”

Once we’ve clarified what happiness is, we can look at why some people are happier.

    Happiness and Genetics

Ask someone who looks physically healthy and fit, “Why are you in shape? How do you maintain your weight?” ask a happy person, “Why are you happy?

Asking what do you do to be happy is very similar.
The fit person may say, I don’t know, I’ve been like this for as long as I can remember, I do nothing special, I guess my metabolism works fast.

He really isn’t doing anything special, and he may even have some harmful habits and things they’re doing wrong.

Nevertheless, these people are in shape.

They look very fit and strong. Genetic inheritance can explain the condition of these people.

In other words, genetically inborn, some people’s metabolisms may work faster, they may be more physically fit and they may feel stronger in terms of physical health.

However, this does not mean that they will never feel physically inadequate.

We Are Not Captives of Genetics

The same is true for happiness. Some people are inherently advantageous and feel happy even when they’re not doing anything special.

This situation can be explained by genetic factors, just as in physical well-being.

Such people’s bodies may be more balanced and produce higher levels of happy hormones or chemicals. But you may be thinking that this is unfair.

Yes, some people may be more disadvantaged from birth, but we are not entirely a prisoner of genetics.

    Alright then Lets find the answer ;

    Why are some people happier?

    • Happy people have higher levels of self-esteem (self-worth, self-esteem). They are content with themselves. They enjoy being who they are.
    • Happy people have high levels of self-compassion. In other words, they are compassionate and understanding to themselves as well as to others. They do not criticize themselves ruthlessly and disproportionately.
    • Happy people have higher self-confidence. They are self-confident in many ways.
    • Happy people also have higher levels of hope and optimism. Their prospects for the future are more positive. They show less pessimism.
    • Happy people are more extroverted. They like to socialize. They experience less loneliness.
    • Happy people have a higher perceived level of social support. There are enough people around them who care about them.

As many studies have shown, individuals who speak more than one language are more developed and successful than those who speak less.

    4. Having New Hobbies

In modern society, almost everyone has a hobby.

But sometimes, starting to specialize in a subject can lead to reasons such as alienating individuals from this subject and making them ordinary.

At this point, it can be beneficial for personal growth to focus on new topics and start trying things we haven’t tried.

For example, taking an interest in a new sport that you have not tried, such as mountain climbing, fencing, golf, ice hockey; Engaging in topics such as writing poetry, cooking, wine tasting, web design, which are more relaxing activities, increases cultural accumulation and is also very effective in personal development.

    5. Waking Up Early

Since it makes the body healthier, it helps to get the maximum efficiency in all the activities engaged during the day.

    6. Having a To-Do List

Having a daily, weekly, monthly or even yearly to-do list brings with it an order that will not be disrupted as much as possible.

This order, which allows being much more creative and productive, is a very important way for personal development as it increases the effort of individuals to reach the goals they set for themselves.

Special notebooks sold for to-do lists and applications developed in virtual environments are helpful in this regard.

    7. Getting Rid of Bad Habits

Almost everyone has a bad habit they are trying to get rid of.

As the impact rate of these habits increases, it causes pauses and even regressions on the development of the person.

Sleeping a lot, consuming too much alcohol, being late all the time, not doing sports, biting nails…

Getting rid of them before they become big problems is one of the most important steps for personal development, as each one is effective at some point in life.

    8. Social Media Detox

It turns out that people spend an average of 13 minutes without looking at their phones.

Looking at your phone every 13 minutes means you read and review things you don’t need for an average of 6 minutes an hour.

Likewise, environments where individuals feel bad, friend environment, workplace, school etc. It can have many negative effects on the individual.

In such cases, one should stay away from that environment and people in order to both feel good and improve himself.

    10. Getting a Coach or Mentor

Working with people who have the same goals as you is an important factor in being successful in whatever you want to improve.

Many people who are experts in their fields, voluntarily or for certain fees, provide training, small experience sharing, entrepreneurship ideas to those who work in the same fields and need a consultant.

    11. Stop Watching TV

According to studies, many people who spend a long time in front of the TV and then give up this habit report that their life has become much better.

Many programs and advertisements broadcast on television are often prepared unconsciously and carelessly.

Considering that this carelessness is also reflected in the audience, it is inevitable that it will cause temporary and permanent discomfort over time.

In addition, since it is an activity that unnecessarily occupies individuals both mentally and physically during the day, it leads to situations that may prevent individuals from developing themselves.

For these reasons, spending as little time in front of the television as possible will also be supportive for personal development.

    12. Meditating

Meditation is an important activity to have a calmer and more self-aware mood.

Meditation, especially at night, provides less sleep and helps to start the day in a fresher way.

    13. Drawing a Curtain on the Past

Some people, due to their past failures and negative experiences, are shyer in forward-looking activities and, accordingly, more closed to development.

At this point, it should be kept in mind that great successes are the result of many unsuccessful attempts.

Considering that the past is in the past and as a result of a major breaking point, it would be beneficial to start everything from the beginning and act with the questions of how I can be more successful and developed.

    14. Being Kind to Those Around You

Being kind is something that many people overlook in everyday life.

Gentleness, which comes with patience, understanding, and love, helps solve many small problems.

It may be helpful to start with small trials to see if these situations actually happen.

A personal development article that you will read every day will both facilitate your daily life and contribute to your personal development.

These articles can sometimes be written as articles, or they can be blogs written by experts on the subject.

    16. Writing a Personal Development Blog

Nowadays, This is the most important topic in my life.

While working for yourself, helping others develop and move forward can make you more successful.

A blog to be created for this purpose increases the sense of responsibility as it must be kept fresh all the time.

Talking about your own experiences and having a guiding role on the blog will be beneficial for the development of both you and your followers.

    17. Learning to Deal with Difficult People

In daily life, it is necessary to deal with many people. While some may support you, others may force you into bad situations.

What needs to be done at this point is to seriously analyze why these people are pushing you and develop various ways to deal with it.

By developing these pathways, you learn to be resilient to much greater challenges that may come your way and how to deal with them.

    18. Learning from Friends

Every person has potential in different subjects.

The best thing about dealing with so many people is that you can learn from the potential that each of them has.

Consider the potential of your best friend. For example, it could be to be very patient.

In your time with him, you can learn how he accommodates and maintains such a trait.

This proves that everyone has something to learn from everyone else.

  • 10 Steps For Becoming Better in Your Life

10 Steps For Becoming Better in Your Life

    1. Compliment Yourself (Becoming Better)

Every morning before you go on with your daily routine, take a couple of minutes to give yourself a compliment. Whether you compliment your outfit, haircut, or how you recently completed a task using your unique skill sets, giving yourself a little emotional boost will make you happy. And, when you’re happy with yourself, that emotion can be contagious to those around you. Inspirational speaker Tony Robbins has a mantra he says aloud to himself most days to put him in a peak performance state. (Becoming Better)

    2. Don’t Make Excuses

Blaming your spouse, boss, or clients is fruitless and won’t get you very far. Instead of pointing fingers and making excuses about why you aren’t happy or successful in your personal or professional life, own your mistakes and learn from them. When you do this, you will become a better person. When I personally started living up to my mistakes and downfalls, my life turned itself around. I became happier and healthier, and my relationship with my wife improved. We are happier than ever.

    3. Let Go of Anger

Letting go of anger is easier said than done. While anger is a perfectly normal emotion, you can’t let it fester. When this happens, you may make unwise decisions, and more important, it may affect your health. Research suggests pent up anger can cause digestive problems, difficulty sleeping, and even heart disease.

To help you let go of anger, Roya R. Rad, MA, PsyD, suggests you write your feelings down, pray or meditate, or begin to manage your thoughts.

    4. Practice Forgiveness

Joyce Marter, LCPC, suggests you forgive and let go of resentment. She notes, “If for no other reason than for yourself, forgive to untether yourself from the negative experiences of the past. Take time to meditate, and give thanks for the wisdom and knowledge gained from your suffering. Practice the mantra, ‘I forgive you and I release you.’

    5. Be Honest and Direct

How would you feel if a loved one or business partner lied to you? Chances are you would see that as a violation of your trust. If you want to be a better person in either your personal or professional life, you should always tell the truth and state as clearly as possible what you are trying to convey. Learn to articulate your thoughts, feelings, and ideas in an open and honest manner.

    6. Be Helpful

Whether giving up your seat to an elderly person on the subway, assisting a co-worker on a project, or carrying in the groceries when your spouse comes back from the store, being helpful is one of the easiest and most effective ways to practice becoming a better person. I find that the more I help others, the better I feel about myself and everyone around me.

    7. Listen to Others

As Jeet Banerjee notes on Lifehack, “listening to people and giving everyone a voice is one of the greatest things you can do.” He adds that he “got to meet some of the most amazing people, close some of the biggest deals, and develop connections that will last me a lifetime all because I took time to listen to people. Being a good listener can change your life in a positive manner.”

    8. Act Locally

It may not seem like a big deal, but supporting a local cause, donating clothes, or buying from local farmers’ markets or businesses are simple ways you can help your specific region. You may not be able to save the world, but you very well could make a difference in your neck of the woods. Get to know and care about your community.

    9. Always Be Polite

How much effort does it take to say, “Thank you,” or to hold the elevator door open for someone? Not much at all. However, these acts of kindness can make someone’s day. I decided a few years ago that it doesn’t matter if someone is ultra rude, condescending, or worse. The way someone else behaves is not going to determine my behavior.

    10. Be Yourself

Tiffany Mason has five excellent reasons on Lifehack why you should be yourself. These include being able to align yourself with your values and beliefs, establish your identity, build courage, create boundaries, and find focus and direction.

Becoming a better person doesn’t happen overnight, but it is possible. Believe in yourself and know that it is possible!
