Ways to Deal Stress…
• “No” learn to say Saying no to extra projects, social activities you don’t want and invitations you don’t have time for is an important step for you to have a peaceful life.
This requires practice, self-respect, and the belief that everyone needs a quiet place where they can calm down and be alone from time to time.
• Turn your “Needs” into preferences. Our basic needs consist of food, water and heating ourselves. Everything else is preference. So don’t get too attached to choices in life.
• Make friends with people who are not worried or delusional. Nothing is as effective as a pessimistic person’s emotions being contagious. In a short time, you can be just like him.
• If your job requires you to sit for long periods of time, get up and stretch your body once in a while.
• Get your sleep. Get into the habit of going to bed early.
• Create order in chaos. Organize your home and business in such a way that you know what is where. Make it a habit to put your things in their places so you can avoid the stress of losing something.
• Writing down your thoughts and feelings in a journal or on a piece of paper (which you can throw away later) can help you see things more clearly.
• When you need to relax, take a deep breath through your nose and count to eight. Then count to 16 as you exhale very slowly. Bring your attention to the sound of your breathing and feel your tension decrease. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
• Prepare yourself for stressful events. For example, before speaking in public, try to experience in your head every behaviour you will do and every reaction you may encounter.
• One way to get rid of unnecessary stress is to choose the environment you live in according to your needs and desires (your job, home, entertainment place, etc.). If you hate desk work, don’t accept a job offer that requires you to sit at a desk all day. Get to know yourself.
• Do something you truly enjoy every day.
• Make changes to improve your appearance. Looking beautiful makes you feel better.
• Plan your day realistically. Don’t rush from one appointment to the next, give yourself space to breathe between appointments.
• Be more flexible. Some things are not perfect though.
• Avoid negative self-talk: “I’m too old to do this …”, “I’m too fat to wear this …” as.
• Do one job at a time. If you are busy with a project, just concentrate on the project and forget about the other work you have to do.
• Create a time each day where you can be alone, relax in silence and think calmly.
• If you have to do something you don’t want to do, try to finish earlier in the day and getaway. In this way, you will avoid spending the rest of the day in worry and restlessness.
• Distribute work to other people according to their abilities.
• Never forget to take a break for lunch. Make time for yourself to get away from your desk or work area both physically and mentally.
• Be forgiving towards people and events. Accept the fact that the world we live in isn’t perfect.
• Approach the world with a positive perspective.
I wish you a pleasant working environment that is stress-free and away from all the negativities caused by stress.
