5 Easy Tips To Stay Away From Mobile Devices

Using a cell phone can harm your health if it becomes an addiction.

In this article, I’ll give you 5 tips to stay away from your cell phone to help improve your health.

These 5 tips to stay away from your cell phone will be very useful if you are planning to go on vacation or if you just feel like you can’t handle any more stress.

It is no coincidence that people decide to start a “cell phone detox” to take better care of their mental and emotional health.

The truth is that cell phones can become so demanding that they can prevent people from having even a few minutes of peace because they are constantly receiving notifications from social media or work-related emails.

In this respect, even if your work day is over, you will continue to receive mobile notifications, preventing you from spending your free time with others.

Based on this, I suggest that cell phone use, along with many other technological devices, has become an obsessive behaviour where checking it every minute becomes a compulsive ritual.

Let’s continue with 5 easy tips to stay away from mobile devices

1. Keep only the most useful apps on your phone

This includes the calendar, for example. Eliminate apps that drain your phone and your battery with their various notifications.

To decide which apps to delete, think about how much you use each one.

2. Challenge someone

This could be your partner, a friend or a family member. You may feel more motivated if someone close to you also tries to stay off their phone.

So you can plan to go out or do something fun together instead of being distracted by your cell phone.

It can be really helpful to put your phones on silent when spending time together away from home.

This way you can enjoy the pleasant moments while strengthening your relationship.

3. Avoid synchronizing your accounts

Make a schedule instead. If you synchronize your work emails, it will be harder for you to stay away from your cell phone.

At any moment a client may need you or a problem may arise that you need to solve.

Use a schedule to organize yourself and leave work behind when you leave the office. This way you will also be able to enjoy a longer rest.

4. Put your phone away

It doesn’t need to be on the table while you eat your dinner. And when you’re at home, you don’t need to take it with you to every room you go to.

Put it aside and enjoy your meal, read a book, have a cup of tea and take some time for yourself.

Remember, if something urgent happens, you will know about it because we never completely disconnect from the world.

5. Set a time to use your phone

Of course, there is always something you need to do or solve. But try using your phone only for a while and then putting it aside.

This way, just like knowing how long you can rest, you will know how much time you have to use your cell phone and then you will have time for other activities.
