Learn New Languages – How I Trick My Brain

Learning a new foreign language is more useful and fun than you might imagine.(Learn New Languages)

I’m advanced level at English and it’s not my native language.

But as you see that my blog is English and I do not have any problem to spread my ideas and suggestion to all over the world.

Within my new role as Global Manager since last year, I have started to learn German since beginning this year as well.

During my learning journey of any languages , I try to use those methods to trick my brain and they really work for me.

Here are the top four ways to trick your brain into learning English or other languages faster:

    Create a sense of urgency
A common complaint when learning a new language? Definitely a lack of time.

After a tiring day at work or school, your brain is exposed to an excessive amount of information. Therefore, it may refuse to learn a new language. Because it does not want to spend extra energy.

So, what should you do in such a situation?

    Join an English training class

Online or classic, it doesn’t matter. Our goal here is for someone to hold you and therefore your brain responsible. Taking language lessons with other people, especially with a classroom and a teacher, will put a healthy strain on your brain.

    Track and share your progress

Have you ever thought of recording yourself as audio or video to keep track of your progress? How about sharing your latest essay, letter or favourite phrase on social media? Twitter has a large language learning community and several Facebook groups to keep you going and sharing.

Don’t give your brain a chance to escape your target language

Listening to music on the way to school or work, watching movies on the weekends, reading a magazine during breakfast or posting on social media in your target language are all great ways to start learning.

You can label objects around the house using post-it notes in English, Germany, Spanish or any other foreign language you want to learn. This way you are exposed to new words all day. The main purpose here is to convey messages to your brain that tell you to use this language.

Knowing that the easiest and most efficient way to learn a foreign language is to learn that language on site, consciously go to a language school.

This tendency will show you that you can easily learn a new language or improve your current language much faster.

The more exposure you have to a language, the faster you can learn it. So give yourself a chance and meet a new language and a brand new culture.

To learn a foreign language easily, study a language in that country.

15 Body Language Signals Successful People Never Do

This is My Lifestyle, I Can’t Stop Myself Without Reading Body Language During The Day (Body Language Signals)

    1. Hump Stance (Body Language Signals)

This movement is one of the most obvious movements that shows that you are bored with the environment you are in.

Never say to your boss, “I don’t understand what you’re saying, but I have to listen to you!”

You don’t say it, but remember that you have a body that says it in front of you!

    2. Exaggerated Gestures

Exaggerated gestures will also make the other person think that you are misrepresenting the truth or that you are exaggerating more than necessary.

To avoid this, choosing more controlled and small gestures will show that you are conveying the truth completely to the other person.

    3. Checking the Clock

Checking your watch while talking to someone will be perceived as one of the most disrespectful things to do.

This gesture will show the other person that you have more important things to do than talk to them or that you can’t wait to finish talking to them.

    4. Looking Away

During a conversation or meeting, being busy with other things instead of taking care of the speaker is also one action that can make you lose credibility.

Instead of a move that will make you lose your credit, turning towards the person speaking in a way that shows that you are listening and not being interested in other things will make you successful.

    5. Clasping Your Arms

Even if you’re laughing while listening to someone, crossing your arms or legs is a body language gesture that will show you don’t agree with what they are saying.

Even if it makes you comfortable, it will be important to clearly position yourself for this move.

    6. Inconsistency

The inconsistency between what you say and what you do is also among the factors that will keep you away from success.

Using body language that supports what you say will make you profitable, especially at bargaining tables.

    8. Playing With Hair Too Much

Playing with your hair too much will make you feel nervous or too energetic.

    9. Avoiding Eye Contact

Averting your eyes indicates that you are hiding something or suspecting something.

It is also an important body language mistake that can create the perception of low self-esteem.

Maintaining enough eye contact will also give the impression that you are interested and self-confident.

    10. Making Too Much Eye Contact

Avoiding eye contact can lead to false results, and exaggerating eye contact can lead to false results.

The perception of this by the other person is the impression of someone trying to be aggressive and dominant.

    11. Taking Care of Your Environment too Much

Listening with whirling eyes will constitute a disrespectful gesture.

Instead, it will always be healthier to make more controlled eye contact.

    12. Getting Angry

Remember that you will look angry to the other person when your eyebrows are frowning.

However, smiling makes the other person feel that you are an open and reliable person.

    13. Weak Handshake

A weak handshake is indicative of weak self-confidence and weak authority.

A strong handshake is always ideal, depending on the situation, as too much will obviously be harmful.

    14. Clenched Fists

Clenched fists show a defensive position, just as your arms and feet are clenched.

    15. Getting Too Close

Standing too close to someone is a gesture that shows you don’t respect their personal space. No closer than a step and a half will often be a good signal.

To sum it all up, avoiding these moves will help you build more successful relationships in both your personal and professional life.

I hope it helps your career and relationships…

  • The 80/20 Principle: The Secret to Success in Your Life

The 80/20 Principle: The Secret to Success in Your Life

80% of the shopping is done by 20% of the customers. (80/20 Principle)

Have you ever noticed? There is an 80% chance that you only wear 20% of the clothes in your wardrobe or you meet only 20% of your friends with an 80% chance. (80/20 Principle)

Do you know that 80% of the world’s wealth is in the hands of only 20% of the world’s population?

In fact, there is an 80% chance that you only step on 20% of the carpets in your home.

Vilfredo Pareto discovered this rule for the first time.

That’s why this rule is called the Pareto Principle or the (80/20) rule.

According to this rule, 80% of the results are due to 20% of the causes.

This figure can of course vary. It could be 75/25 instead of 80/20, or it could be 85/15.

But the rule remains the same and does not change.

In short, we can say that most of the results are caused by a very small part of the causes.

So how can we use this rule in our lives?

First, let me give you a few examples of starting your own business. For example, you have started your own business and want to expand it.

You will likely spend 80% of your time on non-important tasks.
But you will spend 20% of your time on the part that is important for you to find and develop customers.

However, you will be spending 20% of your time on the things that will actually make you money. Unfortunately, many people do this without realizing it.

Because they think that the better the details, the more customers they will gain.

Yes, they can gain customers. But this can only affect 20% of potential customers.

The other 80% is the vast majority who need your product or service.

And the little details you spend so much time on them don’t matter.

Since many people spend 80% of their time on this type of work, even if they are seen as very busy from the outside, the work they do does not have a great benefit for them.

Another example, imagine that you are running an advertising campaign, 20% of the campaigns usually make 80% of your customers.
80% of the remaining campaigns yield only 20% results.

Another important piece of data is that 80% of the shopping is done by 20% of the customers.

This rule applies not only in our business life but also in all areas of life. For example, let’s look at the time we spend on apps like Facebook and Instagram.

You spend only 20% of the total time you spend on things that are beneficial to you.

The remaining 80% will not benefit you, you will spend it by looking at the shares.

The important thing is that you understand how this rule works. In this way, you can achieve success by using this rule in every field in your business and private life.

The most important thing we can learn from this rule is this.

Don’t be a maximalist and don’t go overboard with anything. Because this greatly reduces your quality of life.
It takes a lot of our time and gives us very little.

Only 24 hours a day, neither increases nor decreases.

We should spend 7–8 hours of these 24 hours for sleep and 2–3 hours for our daily needs.

The remaining time will be 80% useful to us, but we should devote 20% of our time to things that will take.

In today’s business life, expectations from employees are rising as a result of worsening economic conditions and increasing competition conditions all over the world.

Time pressure, fear of making mistakes, and low-security level while doing business increase stress.

Many reasons, such as working hours, working in shifts, the presence of physical danger, excess responsibility, fear of unemployment, keep people in tension.

People under overwork can have a reduced decision-making capacity in emergency and unexpected situations.

From time to time, employers may try to maintain their jobs with the least human resources, which means that the same job will be achieved by overworking existing employees.

    Ways to Deal Stress…

    • “No” learn to say Saying no to extra projects, social activities you don’t want and invitations you don’t have time for is an important step for you to have a peaceful life.

This requires practice, self-respect, and the belief that everyone needs a quiet place where they can calm down and be alone from time to time.

    • Turn your “Needs” into preferences. Our basic needs consist of food, water and heating ourselves. Everything else is preference. So don’t get too attached to choices in life.

    • Make friends with people who are not worried or delusional. Nothing is as effective as a pessimistic person’s emotions being contagious. In a short time, you can be just like him.

    • If your job requires you to sit for long periods of time, get up and stretch your body once in a while.

    • Get your sleep. Get into the habit of going to bed early.

    • Create order in chaos. Organize your home and business in such a way that you know what is where. Make it a habit to put your things in their places so you can avoid the stress of losing something.

    • Writing down your thoughts and feelings in a journal or on a piece of paper (which you can throw away later) can help you see things more clearly.

    • When you need to relax, take a deep breath through your nose and count to eight. Then count to 16 as you exhale very slowly. Bring your attention to the sound of your breathing and feel your tension decrease. Repeat this exercise 10 times.

    • Prepare yourself for stressful events. For example, before speaking in public, try to experience in your head every behaviour you will do and every reaction you may encounter.

    • One way to get rid of unnecessary stress is to choose the environment you live in according to your needs and desires (your job, home, entertainment place, etc.). If you hate desk work, don’t accept a job offer that requires you to sit at a desk all day. Get to know yourself.

    • Do something you truly enjoy every day.

    • Make changes to improve your appearance. Looking beautiful makes you feel better.

    • Plan your day realistically. Don’t rush from one appointment to the next, give yourself space to breathe between appointments.

    • Be more flexible. Some things are not perfect though.

    • Avoid negative self-talk: “I’m too old to do this …”, “I’m too fat to wear this …” as.

    • Do one job at a time. If you are busy with a project, just concentrate on the project and forget about the other work you have to do.

    • Create a time each day where you can be alone, relax in silence and think calmly.

    • If you have to do something you don’t want to do, try to finish earlier in the day and getaway. In this way, you will avoid spending the rest of the day in worry and restlessness.

    • Distribute work to other people according to their abilities.

    • Never forget to take a break for lunch. Make time for yourself to get away from your desk or work area both physically and mentally.

    • Be forgiving towards people and events. Accept the fact that the world we live in isn’t perfect.

    • Approach the world with a positive perspective.

I wish you a pleasant working environment that is stress-free and away from all the negativities caused by stress.

  • What Types Of Leaders Are Companies Looking For?

What Types Of Leaders Are Companies Looking For?

Are You Good Enough To Work As A Leader? (Types Of Leaders)

Does Leadership born as genetic or become later?

It is not easy to find a satisfactory answer to this question as old as history.(Types Of Leaders)

The changing characteristics of leadership over time make it difficult to answer this question.

Today, real leaders are needed not only in the political field and business life but also in all kinds of institutions, including non-governmental organizations and sports clubs.

Since strong criteria are not determined, leadership training either remains in words or the training given has descriptive features and cannot achieve its purpose.

The determination to struggle, vision and ideals of true leadership have been a source of inspiration and mobilized the masses in every period of history.

    Know Your Business

“Knowing your job” is not just about reading a lot and “collecting data”.

The knowledge gained by reading is only useful for answering questions and “selling reason” when asked.

It is not possible to learn to ride a bike or play the guitar by reading books.

Our ancestors succinctly expressed this situation by saying, “Do not sting, the mind goes forty steps”.

    Being a Man/Woman

“Being a man/woman” means having a strong personality and value system regardless of gender, not making any concessions under pressure, honesty and honesty, in other words, being one and the same.

The most important emotion that a leader should protect himself/herself from is “arrogance”.

It is not difficult for every person who stays alone and thinks for a while to feel that he is “a speck in the ocean”.

But the power of power and self-importance breeds a sense of arrogance that has led many leaders to cut their branches.

Maybe, The reason why arrogance is counted among the greatest sins in every religion is that it has devastating consequences for both oneself and those around him.

    Protecting Your Team

“Protecting your team” is about “fidelity”.

Those in power tend to see loyalty as a one-way street and expect it only from those around them.

Many managers value the people they work with to the extent that they meet their own needs.

    Listening

“Listening” is the most common deficiency in leaders.

In general, leaders tend to tell more than to understand, and to talk more than to listen.

They think that they know what they want to be told.

Because their time is very short, they immediately take the floor and choose the way to share their superior ideas with the people around them.

Listening well allows you to understand not only what people say, but also what they don’t say.

It not only makes it possible to understand the other party but also reveals what to do and what to say.

    Decision and Determination

One of the most important characteristics of a leader is that he can make the closest decision under pressure with little information.

Postponing decisions and needing more information turns the decision from being a decision into a reaction to the situation that has occurred.

It brings to mind the saying among the people that “after the car is overturned, there are many who show the way”.

✓ Ask coaching questions and provide feedback on situations/events to support development with a coaching-style managerial mindset.

✓ Take time for yourself to work on coaching questions.

  • Apply Butterfly Chaos Effect To Daily Life

Apply Butterfly Chaos Effect To Daily Life

Small Things Can Have A Big Impact (Chaos Effect)

The butterfly effect is the name given to small changes in the initial data of a system that can have large and unpredictable results.(Chaos Effect)

The so-called butterfly effect was discovered by Edward N. Lorenz in 1963 when he was making a calculation about the weather. So how did he find it?

When Lorenz was calculating the weather, he first used the number 0.506127 as the starting number of the event.

In the second calculation, the number 0.506 was accepted as the starting point. So there was a one-thousandth difference between the two numbers.

In other words, this ratio expresses the same probability as the wind created by the flapping of a butterfly’s wings.

However, despite this difference; While the process is taking place, the value used in the 2nd calculation causes a very different situation when the result is reached.

In other words, although the numbers are very close to each other, there are differences in the results. Lorenz called this “chaos theory”.

In non-linear systems, a very small difference in inputs can cause huge differences in outputs.

Edward N. Lorenz, in an example of the butterfly effect, said, “A butterfly flapping its wings in the Amazon Forest can cause a storm break in the USA.

For a different example, the flapping of a butterfly’s wings could cause a hurricane that could travel halfway around the Earth.” he said.

The name of chaos theory, on the other hand, refers to the growth of a created chaos.

Lorenz notices this effect in the weather forecast he is trying to put forward and observes that there are many different variables in this forecast and it becomes very complex.

In short, even very small probabilities can lead to a very different estimation.

So he arrives at the theory that only short-term weather forecasts can be made.

Why is it called the butterfly effect?

The butterfly expression in the example Lorenz used to describe the chaos theory caused this theory to be called the butterfly effect.

However, this statement, which cannot be proven, remains in theory.

This situation is often used as an example when a small impact can cause chaos.

When we apply the butterfly effect to daily life, the result is that every move made is valuable.

Things that seem small can have a big impact.

  • Mistakes Caused The Success of SpaceX, IBM, 3M and Others

Mistakes Caused The Success of SpaceX, IBM, 3M and Others

Post-its were found by 3M company as a result of a mistake (Success of SpaceX)

Remember that The first three attempts failed by SpaceX (Success of SpaceX)

However, in Michael Jordan’s Nike ad “Failure”, “I was failed so many times, that’s why I succeeded.” As he said, we can only succeed after we make mistakes and are defeated.

Companies with a high failure rate innovate more because more mistakes mean more trials.

In companies that do not tolerate mistakes, everyone does business in the shortest and most familiar way. No one dares to try a new path. A culture of obedience is replaced by a corporate culture that learns and creates together.

In today’s fiercely competitive environment, we need to establish smart organizations that are tolerant of mistakes in order to adapt the company to changing times.

To build a system that tolerates errors, we must eliminate the blame culture. It doesn’t matter who is at fault in a company. If a mistake has been made, it is necessary to ensure that that mistake is not made again.

There is a saying that I love. Only idiots repeat the same mistake.

Instead of looking for the culprit, we should analyze why and how the mistakes occur (Root-cause analysis). So that they do not happen again, we must eliminate the root cause of the error and rewrite the relevant business process. For example, People in Toyota, ask “Why?”.

Five times before finding the root causes of the error A method based on asking questions, re-examining each answer and understanding the reason for this is applied.

Post-its were found by 3M company as a result of a mistake. While it was desired to invent a very strong adhesive, on the contrary, the weakest adhesive was invented. If 3M had punished the R&D team due to the fact that their mistakes. Post-it wouldn’t be in our lives today.

Many products such as Viagra and Teflon are success stories born from mistakes.

James Dyson, the inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaner, also built 5,127 prototypes before this invention, learned something from each trial and changed the direction of competition in the vacuum cleaner industry.

It takes courage and determination to turn mistakes made into opportunities and to create organizations that learn from these mistakes. Instead of being afraid of mistakes and not taking risks, we should develop a culture of taking risks at the expense of making mistakes and learning from mistakes.

As Walmart founder Sam Walton said, we must stop taking ourselves so seriously and learn to laugh at our mistakes. When we make a mistake, we must first manage to “make fun of ourselves”, then analyze the mistake and take measures so that we will never make this mistake again.

During my leadership journey, I always give a chance to my team members for possible mistakes for their responsibility and new roles. The important thing for me mistakes shouldn’t repeat in the same ways. Because Only idiots repeat the same mistake.

  • Success in Life – 9 Steps That Provided Me To Achieve

Success in Life – 9 Steps That Provided Me To Achieve

Many years ago, I’ve cached a chance to read suggestions about success from Christensen. (Success in Life)

So that from my perspective, He who best describes how successful a person is in life and how to measure it is Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen.

According to Chirstensen, there are 9 steps to living and measuring a successful life:

I’m going to share those brilliant ways that also what I used for my successful journey in my life with you.

1- As a first step, one should realize what motivates you in life.

For example, if a person who enjoys discovering new places and meeting new people – just because his income is higher – is confined to a desk job, he will experience great dissatisfaction.

Therefore, finding one’s passion is more important than finding a job.

First of all, one has to find out what motivates him.

2- Second, a person must set a goal for himself and move forward in line with this goal.

In order to be successful, it is essential for a person to stick to the goal he has determined and the path (strategy) that will lead to this goal, despite the difficulties and obstacles that come his way.

Because without perseverance, success cannot be achieved.

But there are situations when the account at home does not fit real life.

Sometimes life throws up such obstacles that it is impossible to overcome them.

In such a situation, insisting on the same strategy for the same goal is a waste of resources.

As Seneca said, “We may not be able to determine the direction of the wind, but we can change the direction of our ship by adjusting our sails to the wind.”

3- The third issue that Christensen recommends we pay attention to is managing the resources we have effectively.

Human resources are not just monetary resources.

Humans have resources such as health, time, abilities, knowledge, experience, friends and social relationships.

4- The fourth is the time that a person spares for his family and friends.

A person is happy to the extent that he spends enough time with his loved ones and spends full time with them.

While most people are trying to make a place for themselves in life, to reach a goal, they ignore their loved ones and neglect them.

5- Fifth is the development of human empathy.

In both private and business relationships, a person should always act by putting himself in the place of the other person.

If a person can understand the perspectives of the people with whom he is in a relationship and look at life through their eyes, it opens the doors to be both very successful and very happy.

6- The sixth is to raise one’s children correctly. I think the most important responsibility of a person in life – if any – is to educate his children.

Every parent has to ensure the physical and mental development of their children within their means, as well as support their spiritual maturation.

7- In order to be successful, a person must both have certain values and act in accordance with these values.

The abstract concept we call “values” is actually the compass behind our daily decisions.

For example, a person who adopts honesty as a value prefers to tell the truth when faced with the dilemma of “making money-hiding the truth”.

The person who cares about making money does the opposite.

8- According to Christensen, a very important issue in managing our lives is to be humble.

Most people unconsciously walk around with an inflated ego.

An inflated ego not only causes one to like himself or exaggerate what he has done but worse than that, it causes him to underestimate others.

9- As a result of all these, the real measure of a person’s success is the benefit he provides to other people.

According to Christensen, the measure of a person’s success is not the money he has earned or the fame he has achieved, but how much he has contributed positively to other people’s lives.

Charles Handy said, “A tombstone showing how many millions of dollars a person in the ground has earned won’t impress any of the passers-by. What matters is what he does with the millions he earns.”

10 Steps For Becoming Better in Your Life

    1. Compliment Yourself (Becoming Better)

Every morning before you go on with your daily routine, take a couple of minutes to give yourself a compliment. Whether you compliment your outfit, haircut, or how you recently completed a task using your unique skill sets, giving yourself a little emotional boost will make you happy. And, when you’re happy with yourself, that emotion can be contagious to those around you. Inspirational speaker Tony Robbins has a mantra he says aloud to himself most days to put him in a peak performance state. (Becoming Better)

    2. Don’t Make Excuses

Blaming your spouse, boss, or clients is fruitless and won’t get you very far. Instead of pointing fingers and making excuses about why you aren’t happy or successful in your personal or professional life, own your mistakes and learn from them. When you do this, you will become a better person. When I personally started living up to my mistakes and downfalls, my life turned itself around. I became happier and healthier, and my relationship with my wife improved. We are happier than ever.

    3. Let Go of Anger

Letting go of anger is easier said than done. While anger is a perfectly normal emotion, you can’t let it fester. When this happens, you may make unwise decisions, and more important, it may affect your health. Research suggests pent up anger can cause digestive problems, difficulty sleeping, and even heart disease.

To help you let go of anger, Roya R. Rad, MA, PsyD, suggests you write your feelings down, pray or meditate, or begin to manage your thoughts.

    4. Practice Forgiveness

Joyce Marter, LCPC, suggests you forgive and let go of resentment. She notes, “If for no other reason than for yourself, forgive to untether yourself from the negative experiences of the past. Take time to meditate, and give thanks for the wisdom and knowledge gained from your suffering. Practice the mantra, ‘I forgive you and I release you.’

    5. Be Honest and Direct

How would you feel if a loved one or business partner lied to you? Chances are you would see that as a violation of your trust. If you want to be a better person in either your personal or professional life, you should always tell the truth and state as clearly as possible what you are trying to convey. Learn to articulate your thoughts, feelings, and ideas in an open and honest manner.

    6. Be Helpful

Whether giving up your seat to an elderly person on the subway, assisting a co-worker on a project, or carrying in the groceries when your spouse comes back from the store, being helpful is one of the easiest and most effective ways to practice becoming a better person. I find that the more I help others, the better I feel about myself and everyone around me.

    7. Listen to Others

As Jeet Banerjee notes on Lifehack, “listening to people and giving everyone a voice is one of the greatest things you can do.” He adds that he “got to meet some of the most amazing people, close some of the biggest deals, and develop connections that will last me a lifetime all because I took time to listen to people. Being a good listener can change your life in a positive manner.”

    8. Act Locally

It may not seem like a big deal, but supporting a local cause, donating clothes, or buying from local farmers’ markets or businesses are simple ways you can help your specific region. You may not be able to save the world, but you very well could make a difference in your neck of the woods. Get to know and care about your community.

    9. Always Be Polite

How much effort does it take to say, “Thank you,” or to hold the elevator door open for someone? Not much at all. However, these acts of kindness can make someone’s day. I decided a few years ago that it doesn’t matter if someone is ultra rude, condescending, or worse. The way someone else behaves is not going to determine my behavior.

    10. Be Yourself

Tiffany Mason has five excellent reasons on Lifehack why you should be yourself. These include being able to align yourself with your values and beliefs, establish your identity, build courage, create boundaries, and find focus and direction.

Becoming a better person doesn’t happen overnight, but it is possible. Believe in yourself and know that it is possible!
